I love the 749 and now I can only wait to love my new Red 1098. A testament to its truth, its iconic status of ultimate supremacy. If Ducati North America doesn’t get my S4R’s problems sorted out, I’ll be first in line! I think the white 1098 would be one of the most Unique and amazing bikes to be seen on the road. So, please correct it and propose us a YELLOW COLOR FOR 1098 and, of course the 848. As a result in the World Superbike Championshp we are forced to race with the 999F07, against our wishes, in exchange for a promise that the rules will change allowing us to race with the 1098 in 2008. I had the priveledge to ride pillion on a 1098 yesterday and it was absolutely the most fun and the best ride I have EVER had on any motorcycle. With the new price points and maintinance you will not be able to make either model fast enough.However, the reality is that many of us street our bikes and that is entirely too much power to deal with (or be tempted with) on the street.

As for Ferrari, it makes fully part of the DUCATI COLOR RANGE. The 848 would look excellent sandwiched between my 996 and 900SS, right where it should be…Please build this bike! White would make the 1098 the most unmistakable superbike on the road and also complement almost any modification it’s owner might prefer. Ducati ha in listino solo moto da 1000 o 1100 cc, esclusa la citata Monster, sempre bella, bellissima, ma sulla breccia dal giurassico … le novità x il 2007 sono ok, certo x me che vado in moto da 30 anni non resta che l’imbarazzo della scelta, ma se un giovane volesse accostarsi al desmo? Black works well for the Monster series because of its elemental exposure -it’s bare form.

I just bought an 06 749s (black) and LOVE it, and really like the 1098.
Black and Yellow have been done to death by everyone but white is unique and fresh. E’ talmente bella che starebbe bene pure col verdino pastello! I think it would look great to have the exhaust similar in appearance to the exhaust on the SuperMono.Ma perchè non fate un cerchio grigio (bellissimo) come il mio 620 ieS, tutte le moto japan hanno i cerchi neri; facciamo qualcosa di diverso! Blue should be considered… a blue that looks so bright and striking, it looks as if mother nature sent it from the sky via the sun.
Well done to the Ducati SA team and to SA Biking Academy, it was a fantastic event and one that I will attend next year for sure. I personally am in love with the Tri Color, but am shocked and taken back with emotion at the sight of the white version. ST’s future, and take up the fight with the likes of Triumph and the like, may I encourage you to capitalise on the 1098 engine tuned for low end tourque and a price adjustment as has been welcomed by many superbike fans. Many Duc owners I know are more excited about the prospects of the 848 than the 1098. I want to say black, but the white just sort of pops for some reason. I love the three quarter litre class since they make a better comprimise for a town bike and a track bike.SS nasce per andare veloce su strada, ma il motore 2 valvole (o 3) non tiene gli stessi ritmi e quindi non può avere lo stesso scopo, senza contare il fatto che deve costare 3000€ in meno! SS, ma sono molto dispiaciuto che Ducati abbia deciso di abbandonare la cilindrata 750 per la sua Superbike più piccola.
Black is so common, Yellow stands out like the red but not as fast, with white being pure.
I know a lot of other people are also waiting on such a bike.

I expect for many others in North America, the 1098 is very desirable but is just too much bike if one is planning to use it on the street regularly. Red (body & or frame), Gold (frame & or wheels), Silver (Frame), Black (wheels), and White (Number plates; and on the older bikes; frame; gives them a nice retro look). She needs some company in the garage, but I am waiting for a red 848s. I like it, a White body with red frame and red lettering. Another advantage is that it would be able to compete directly with Aprilia´s 210Hp V4; not to mention that it would keep the Desmosedici RR exclusive while at the same time giving us Ducatisti a chance to own and feel a tremendous bike that will not be shun when the competition petitions for a displacement increase (as is the case with the 999 bikes). Ducati didn’t put a slipper clutch on such a powerful track bike like the 1098? Every other bike on the road is black and the 1098 has beautiful curves which would be completely removed with a black color. I agree Ducatis should be red, it has got to be black with red frame, black wheels with red pinstripe on wheel rim and black Termigonis. I would like to see gold wheels, perhaps next year, although if my 1098 came with gold wheels this year, that would be very cool. All you need to do is take the RR’s frame and engine, mount it on a new bike, price it at around 35k to 40k (after making the necessary adjustments to materials and parts in order to lower the price), and voila — Ducati´s next super bike.I am impressed with your candor and openness with your customer base.

White - This is something that would also interest me; but, it would have to be offset with gold lettering, frame, wheels etc. But having ridden and owned a 748 (before it blew up on me) i want something smaller, thats rev’s and handles. The options to choose from are Yellow, White or Black (below you see some studies)– but we are open to other suggestions. Richard I have heared from a Ducati dealer in the UK that the 1098 R may be a double sided swing arm, does anyone know if this is true? Milo, I have just purchased a 1098 and it appears that (looking at the bike from the front) the left side light is permantly on when ignition activated - which I believe is a good thing for safety - and the right side will come on when engaged by the rider.Offered at a lower price point, the 848 would be an exciting and entertaining ride.
If you can build it at a great price point, say $11,000 US, $14,000 Canadian with exceptional Torque and power you would have another winner.
